The community enjoyed an evening of dancing, music and fun in support of The Woodlands Family YMCA. More than $75,000 was raised at the annual YMCA Dancing with The Woodlands Stars, held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The evening featured live dance entertainment performed by local community leaders!

Art & Soul

Saturday, April 8th

It was a night of “Rare Treasures” at the 10th Anniversary Pearls of Art Gala, benefiting the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts. Nearly 300 people attended the milestone event, which raised more than $360,000 for the museum. The gala honored Carol and Calvin Cobb, founding patrons and dedicated leaders of the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.

White Haute Fashion

Friday, April 7th

Giving Goes Glam Fashion Show and Luncheon, was attended by more than 850 guests who arrived dressed “White Haute” in support of the 6th annual event raising over $365,000. The fashion show and luncheon, hosted by Interfaith of The Woodlands and Junior League of The Woodlands, combined fashion and philanthropy in support of the programs and services of both organizations.

Children’s Safe Habor themed “Betting On Courage - Under The Big Top” was held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. More than 500 guests attended and the gala raised $325,000 for the child advocacy center that serves children ages 2 to 18.

Guests celebrated the work of United Way of Montgomery County, and women making a difference in the community at the United Way Women Who Rock Luncheon. The luncheon raised funds to help change the life of a young woman and her child by supporting the Young Mother’s Child Care Scholarship through United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council. Guests enjoyed a moving keynote address by Janine Shepherd.

The 11th Annual Wine Dinner honored Dr. Ann Snyder and was sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands. Funds raised help to support The Woodlands Rotary Club Foundation that supports scholarships and charitable projects in the community. The James Bond-themed event was held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott where guests enjoyed dinner, drinks and casino-style entertainment including fabulous show girls and casino tables.

Making a Change

The Montgomery County Women’s Center (MCWC) held its 4th annual “Open Your Purse for Change” luncheon fundraiser at The Woodlands Country Club – Palmer Clubhouse. The event, chaired by Ally Seder along with co-chairs Shirelle Chimenti and Terry Larson, featured a guest speaker and a silent auction of fabulous handbags. MCWC serves the needs of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or abuse and stalking from all areas of Montgomery County and surrounding counties.
