The Joys of Spring

April's Publisher's Note

  It’s simple to know when Spring is arriving. The sun rises in the earlier hours of the morning and sets later on in the afternoon. The days get slightly warmer and the spring flowers start to appear and the birds start building their nests. Weather in Spring is very varied. Some days it may be cold enough to wear long sleeves, and some days it is warm enough to play out in the garden. While the weather transforms, Spring is my favorite time of the year! This is to say that time sweeps by and the change of seasons march on!

  I looked up at the calendar and realized school is not far from being over. I always have believed when you have children time flies; you wake up one day and they are grown. My husband and I are always saying we can’t believe are children are doing this or we can’t believe they are already in this grade. When we are young and just starting to build our families, you don’t realize how much your children will impact you on a day-to-day basis. Now that you’re established and we deal with life, it always seems children reflect what your family life is truly about; the people who love you no matter what; the people who will always be there.

  People ask me all the time; “What defines you?” “What makes you do what you do?” My answer has always been the same; my children and my family mirror my image. Being a good parent and nurturing my children to become their best self are my goals as a parent. Life is full of ups and downs, but one day we will wake up and the innocent giggles and the coloring artwork that you hang on your refrigerator will soon fade as we watch our children mature. Then as parents, we will find ourselves back to an empty nest. So, cherish each moment as “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

  This is what leads me into this month’s issue. We went on a search to find families of multiples; a family who share lots of love with their kiddos and who have routine schedules that make their household work. We at reviewit had a blast inviting these kids to our office who lighten up our place and really had fun coloring and smiling for our cameras. We would like to thank them for allowing us a sneak peek into their lives. So, kick back and enjoy our jampacked magazine full of Spring fashion to Spring home trends.
