Most of us, if pressed to think of one woman who we admire the most, we would probably choose our mother. I know that I would. There are all sorts of famous women who you probably have grown to admire over the years. In my eyes, none of them can hold a candle to my mother! This month is Mother's Day which is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world. I am a mother and I, too, have realized what it takes to be a mom. Our role is so diverse from hard work, flexibility, multi-tasking, understanding, organizing, caring, providing a shoulder to cry on, and most importantly adding that mommy touch. As a mom myself and a business owner, I would have to say being a parent is the hardest job on the planet. You are in the interviewing process all the time; you have to always exceed expectations, you constantly have to bring new ideas to the table, and on top of all that everyone is watching you. With all that said, it is still the most rewarding part of my life.

I was recently attending an Easter Celebration last month and I heard a very wise comment. You have to do things in your life that feed your soul beyond how much you accomplish or how much you make, or even how much you do. Our soul has to be filled with true substance; a truth that defines us! In my opinion, family is what feeds the soul. Without a good foundation provided through the extraordinary women who are our mothers, we would not have life.

So, as you celebrate this month, read about some of the comments we received from our loyal readers about their mothers. We thank each one of them for writing in and telling us why their mom is special to them. As we move into the summer months, send in your stories since we will be featuring a "Brag on your Dad” section, and tell us what makes your dad the best dad and enter the chance for him to win dinner and a golf package.
